Another Ms. Bunny Happy Easter!

This Little Ms. Bunny was sitting on my work area asking me to make a card with her.  She is from the Cheerful Critter Photpolymer Stamp set 137932.  This set is from the Occasions catalog. Whisper White card stock 100730 is the base, layered with Calypso Coral 122925 and Best Year Ever 138633 DSP. The idea for this card was found on Pinterest by Audrey.  She didn't have a blog but I still want to give her credit for giving me the idea.  I added more color and changed some things around so it is not truly cased just an inspiration.  Thanks Audrey! Banner Framelits were used to make the sentiment and Ms. Bunny page 231 annual catalog.  Blendabilities markers were used to color her dress (Coastal Cabana light 131000) and I brushed Calypso Coral light 130996 over the sentiment. Crushed Curry 131199 was used to punch the little flower and a rhinestone 119246 was put in the center of the flower.  The Banners were put on the front of the card with dimensionals. Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon (retired) was used to tie a knot bow.  Image was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink 132708. Snail adhesive 104332 was used to put the card together.

NOTELETS!

Notelets idea came from Sam Hammond Donald from the UK.  She is so wonderful with 3D items.  Check her out here ! You will be amazed. She is the #1 Demonstrator in the UK.  I thought this would be a perfect gift for some folks that have supported me through some tough times.   Thanks ladies you know who you are!  Now..... on to how to make the notelets.  Take a piece of Whisper White card stock and cut it 5 1/2' X 4 1 1/4". then cut a second layer 5 1/4" X 4" and sponge your desired color of ink around the edges of each piece.  Then stamp the initial and embellishment of your choice in the opposite corners.  Usually the same color you did the edges in.  Adhere them together and walla you have the cute notelet.  You can write on from and back.  I think it would be cute to put a small thank you in the corner to make some thank you notelets.  The inks I used are Wisteria Wonder, Old Olive, Always Artichoke and Melon Mambo all ink from SU. Since I need to mail them I decided to put them in a clear bag with a tag topper to let them know how much I thank them for their support.  I used the cellophane bags 102210,   6 X 8 on page 200 of annual catalog. Then I took a piece of Whisper White card stock 100730 and cut it 6 X 5 and scored it at 2 !/2" and then stamped the top with the thank you from the Another Thank You Set 136835. The tag was stamped in each color that coordinated with the color of the notelets.  This is one of my favorite go to Thank You sets.  I hope you will take the time to make you some.  Enjoy and let me hear from you!  I have still kept my online store available for anyone who would like to order supplies online and have them delivered right to your door.  Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Easter Critter!

As I said in a prior post... here is another Cheerful Critter! The bunny critter was so cute and it made me think of Easter, which is April 5th.  Time to be thinking about your cards that you will need to send out.  Isn't she adorable! The only thing I wish I hadn't done is color her Smoky Slate, should have just left her natural.  But with that being said I think she turned out alright.  Calypso Coral card stock was used for base and oval.  Whisper White for the image.  Happy Easter is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, this set fits in the little box perfectly.  Blendabilities markers were used to color Ms. Bunny in.  The DSP is from the Sale-a-bration catalog and it was free with a fifty-dollar order before shipping and handling.  Each sheet is just beautiful.  For the flowers Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana card stock was used.  The bottom flowers were punched from Itty Bitty Paper Punch Pack and the small flower at the sentiment was punched from a retired punch.  It is just a little smaller.  The center of the flowers were embellished with rhinestones. It was finished off with a piece of Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon, also retired. The inside was finished off with a piece of Whisper White and strip of the DSP.

Supplies used:  Cardstock: Calypso Coral 122925. Crushed Curry 131199,Whisper White 100730 and Best Year Ever DSP 128633 (Sale-a-bration catalog).  Ink: Tuxedo Black 132708. Blendabilities Markers:  Calypso Coral light 130996, Smoky Slate light 131005.Stamp Sets: Cheerful Critters (New Occasions catalog), Teeny Tiny Wishes (annual catalog) 127082 clear. Accessories: Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon (retired), Rhinestones 119246, Dimensionals 104330 and snail adhesive 104332, Oval Framelits 129381.

Hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

Consider it Cased!

This card was made by my upline Angie Kennedy Juda and I liked it so much I just had to do it.  This set Time to Celebrate is from the Occasions catalog and is a hostess set.  There are 4 images and 4 sentiments.  Isn't this the cutest card.  The Designer Series Paper is Sweet Taffy along with a piece of Old Olive and Melon Mambo.  Whisper White is the card base.  Black Memento ink was used for image and sentiment. To color in Ms. Worm I used markers, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron and Mellow Moss.  A Melon Mambo flower was punched out using the Itty Bitty Punch Set and the Smoky Slate marker was used to ground Ms. Worm to the card.  Ms. Worm was put on card using dimensionsals.  You could use any sentiment you want on this card and Ms. Worm would still be just as cute.  Please check out Pinterest for some cute examples done with this stamp set.  They are adorable.  Thanks for stopping by.

Cheerful Critter Thank You!

The Cheerful Critter Stamp set is one of my favorites in the New Occasions Catalog on page 14.   I have had this set for a while and decided now was the time to play with it, just to see what I can do with it.  I don't usually buy animal stamps but this one just caught my eye.  There are 3 critters and 5 sentiments in this set.  You can also use other sentiment stamp sets in the little sign blocks they are holding.  I want to use all 3 critters at some time so look for more of them to come.  The combination of Tempting Turquoise and Tangelo Twist or Tangerine Tango have been one of my all time favorites.  The Sweet Taffy DSP has some really cool colors in it and this is what made me decide on this combination.  It did say on the back of the package that is coordinated with Pumpkin Pie, too.  I didn't have any so decided to use Tangelo Twist (in color page 179). The DSP is Sweet Taffy  page 186.  Circle framelits were used and the Large Polka Dot Embossing folder was used on the 5 1/4" by X 4 " piece.  I don't think you can see it very well in this picture.   The inside was finished off with a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Markers were used to color in the bear: Pumpkin pie, Tempting Turquoise and Crumb Cake.

The Bokeh (bouquet)Technique

For this card I created a Bokeh (pronounced bouquet) background using a technique I saw in a video by Dawn Olchefske. Bokeh is a technique often used in photography to blur the image and it makes an interesting effect for a card background. You can create this effect in many ways. You can use water coloring and water color paper or sponging ink on white card stock to create your colored background. When it is dry apply White Craft ink in circles (you can use hearts, squares, star shapes) on the top. I used the Circle Framelits to cut a template with different sizes of circles out of a Window Sheet and the 1/2" circle punch for a smaller circle and once the White Craft ink was dry ( you can use a heat gun if in a hurry) I stamped my sentiment in Memento Black ink and added  rhinestones for some bling. For the inside of the card I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock and sponged the edges with Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight.

For this card I chose 3 colors, you can do just two.  Pumpkin Pie 126945 , Daffodil Delight 115667, Melon Mambo 115656 and Memento Black ink 132708. The Another Thank You Photopolymer set 136835 was used for sentiment. Rhinestones 119246, sponges 101610. daubers 133773, snail adhesive 104332, window sheets 114323 (for template). The card stock used is Pumpkin Pie 133677, Daffodil Delight 119383 and Whisper White 100730.

There are several good videos on You Tube to help with this technique.  I hope you will try it!

Chocolate for the Girls

This is what Bob and I gave the girls for Valentine's, plus a dozen red roses that I didn't get a picture of.  Makayla wanted to know if the roses were going to cancel out her getting some chocolates and I told her she would get chocolates for Valentine's.  She loves her CHOCOLATE!!! But she will have to share.  The jar was bought in the candle section at Walmart and I used black vinyl and bought the design from the Silhouette store.  It is full of  3 different flavors of Lindor Chocolate.  The red hots are for our son-in-law.

Seriously Amazing Pumpkin Kit

Love, Love, Love Paper Pumpkin kits and I have had this one a long time.  Just now getting around to playing with some of the kits I get each month.  Still cleaning out the craft mobile.  Got a long way to go because each time I run across something I have forgotten I have...then I sit down and play. Just like today.  I had good intentions of cleaning one room at a time and started off with the wrong room. This particular room has all of the Paper Pumpkin kits I have not completed.  OOPS!! Things may never get cleaned out.  These are wonderful kits and if you are in a hurry to make cards this is the answer to some of the situations you may find yourself. Well....enough chit chat lets get to the show and tell part.  The picture in the upper right hand corner are the cards and envelopes that I put together with the instruction folder you see on the right.  You can change these up to make them your own or you can follow the instructions precisely as they have them.  I did put my sentiments I stamped at different angles than what they had them.  I also used Teeny Tiny Wishes on some of the cards. They provide several stamps and  an ink pad each time they send out a kit.  That is what makes these kits so unique.  Visit Pinterest and put in Paper Pumpkin Kits from SU and see the amazing projects that people have done with these kits.  Some have altered them into the cutest bags, boxes and unique cards.  One of a kind!

Coaches Cards!

Well, basketball season is over for my two grand girls and they wanted a card the whole team could sign and give to the coaches at the sports banquet.  Then they came back and said they wanted to give them a basketball that they all signed and would I put WCCS Girls Middle School Basketball.  OMG! my minds went into overdrive and it took me two days to come up with this and the other thank you cards the grands wanted to give to their coaches.  Yep, I let them talk me into doing it all!!! :)  It was a real joy to put all of this together and thank goodness for my Silhouette Cameo and good supply of Stampin' Up card stock.  The coaches were so good to the girls this season and I feel that each and every one of them were given the knowledge to be even better next year.  My oldest granddaughter and friend got MVP and the youngest grand girl got Most Improved and she was certainly that.  Her older sister worked with her a lot.  Thanks Megan and coaches! On these two cards the net was purchased from the Silhouette Store and Night of Navy and Crushed Curry  along with Whisper White were used to make the cards.  A sentiment was put inside on copy paper and all the team members signed it.  A know bow was tied across the bottom of the card in Midnight Muse.

For the basketballs (did two) a template or stencil was cut and colored in with a black sharpie.  That took some time but turned out so good.  2014-2015 is under the work basketball.  I am not a good photographer and it shows.  When this was finished it was time to start making the "thank you" cards my grands for to give each coach.  They are very thoughtful young girls.  On these the same colors were used as on the big coach cards with the exception of Cajun Craze was used for the basketballs.  I used the stamp set Great Sports from Stampin' Up for the basketballs and cut them out with the 1" circle punch. The "thank you's" were from the stamp set Another Thank You Photopolyer set.  These were a lot of fun to put together.  They only needed two each but I wanted them to have a selection and not use the same ones for the same coach.

After getting this done then we needed a bag to put this in and I wanted them to be able to know whose was whose because of the signing of the cards and this is what we came up with.  Oh, so easy with a Silhouette Cameo on hand.  Every time I use it I feel the need to thank Bob and Pamela all over again.  They got for my birthday. It has been that much fun to play with.  The pattern for the basketball tag was bought from the Silhouette Cameo store and it is done in two pieces.  The font for the initials is Lobster 1.4. Love this font.  Well....enough about the basketball season and crafts on to soccer next.  Can't wait to see what they ask me to do for that sport.  Any ideas email them to me.  Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine's Teachers Gifts!

This project was inspired by Bethany at Pitter and Glink check her out here  She has some free printables on her site that are just tooooooo stinkin' cute!  Please visit her blog and see what she has to offer.  Bethany does many different crafts and they all are so cute, wood, metal, vinyl, paper, etc.  My little neighbor that everyone adores (2 1/2 yrs old) has allowed me to do the gifts she wants to give her pre-school teachers.  When I saw this on Bethany's site I knew it was what I wanted to do.  The saying alone says it all.  I had the jars and it was just a matter of printing out the labels.  I used Strawberry Slush Card Stock for the hearts on the front of the bag.  The big hearts were cut on the Silhouette Cameo and the little hearts are stickers. For the top of the jar a piece of pink patterned card stock was cut in a circle and then the sentiment was altered a little and a circle framelit was used to cut it out.  The tag is also a free printable and I layered it on the same patterned paper as the top. Pink satin ribbon was used along with some twine to tie the tag on the jar.  It was filled with pink and silver wrapped chocolate kisses.  Who doesn't like chocolate and especially after spending all morning with the small kiddos.  For the bags a silver pen was used to write the names of the teachers and ribbon I had on hand was used to tie on handle.  Please take the opportunity to visit Bethany's site and see all of her wonderful projects and check out the free printables she is so graciously sharing with everyone.

Cheerful Critters

When I first saw this stamp set in the Occasions catalog I knew I would need this set. Notice I said need not want. LOL! It is so cute and you get 3 different critters and 5 sayings.  You will be seeing more of the critters at a later date.  I just wanted a simple and cute card for a special birthday person.  The pop of color was a last minute thought because I was just going to do it in black and white and that for some reason just looked to stark for me.  So, hence the Real Red was added.  On the inside I used a strip of the dotted paper and a sentiment from Remembering Your Birthday! The inspiration for this card came from the blog BarbStamps. I changed things up a bit.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Basic Black 121045, Real Red 102482, Whisper White 100730 and DSP  Back to Black 133700. Ink: Black Memento 132708 for sentiment and image, Stamp sets: Cheerful Critters 137937 from Occasions catalog, Remembering Your Birthday 131350.

Paper Pumpkin Altered

On my January 28th bhere. You will notice I did change some things up but it was seeing her card that made the difference.  Check her out!  The Paper Pumpkin Kits are amazing.  You get all the supplies to make anywhere from 6-8 projects and you can change them up to suit you.
log I shared the candy holders that came in the January kit.  Well....I had some product left over and decided I needed a few more cards and this is what I came up with.  The second card shown the inspiration came from Heidi Boos blog, Stuck on Stamping here.  As you can see I changed it up but the inspiration came from seeing this card.  On this one I used the embossing folder Perfect Polka Dots 117335 and Blushing Bride 131198 and Real Red 102482 card stock with a Real Red heart punched out with the Sweetheart punch 133786 on weekly specials this week. Real Red ink 126949 was used for sentiment and tiny hearts.  These stamps were in the kit and other items on card were in the kit. The second card was inspired by Heidi Boos (Thank you Heidi).  I cut the banners with the Bitty Banners Framelit 129267 page 230 AC catalog.  Gorgeous Grunge  stamp set 130517 was used for the back ground and the little heart came in kit.  As you can see I finished the inside with a little of the speck stamp(from Gorgeous Grunge stamp set) and little hearts from the kit. I love finishing the inside of my cards.  I have probably told you that many times, but it never hurts to say it again. LOL!  Real Red 126949 and Blushing Bride ink 131172 was used. The twine was from the kit and you get plenty of everything.

Love my Silhouette

I have a friend that needed a little cheering up while going through rehab after a stroke.  So, I wanted to give her something she could share with  grandchildren, caregivers or just for herself.  I had this little bucket sitting on a shelf saying "use me" and I did and it came out rather cute.  I used 651 White Vinyl from Crafty Vinyl and bought the monogram from the Silhouette Store.  It is filled with all kind of goodies...crackers, chocolates, bubble gum (you know who that was chosen for), suckers, Valentine candies, peanuts and sugar free candy. The bucket came from the dollar tree and was just the right size for all the goodies.  She was tickled to receive.  Now when the little grands come Nana can give them a treat. Wishing you a speedy recovery Rita!
