Thinking of You!

I saw a card similar to this one somewhere and forgot to write down the name of the creator of said card.  But...I liked it so much I just had to make it and to share. The paper I used was Back to Black DSP 133700, Melon Mambo 115320, and Whisper White 100730.  My base card is Whisper White  8-1/2" X 4-1/2" and scored at 5-1/2" and I cut a piece of Whipser White to 3" and ran it through the Big Shot with the Embossing Folder Lovely Lace 133739 and the Back to Black was cut at 2 1/4".  The Melon Mambo was cut at 1/2" X 4 and the flowers were cut out using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack 133787 page 222 of the annual catalog. Rhinestones 119246  were placed in the center of each flower.  The sentiment is from the Wetlands Stamp set 126697 and it was punched from Decorative Labels punch and the edges were sponged with Melon Mambo ink.  I hope you can see it.  Quick and easy card and I thank the creator because it is one of my most favorite cards ever.  I think I saw it on Pinterest, since that is my go to for ideas. I think it would have looked great in yellow too.

Card Swap Birthday cards

These two cards I received in a swap and they are so cute I had to share with you.  They are made with Calypso Coral Card Stock and some retired DSP.  The first card is made like a sweater with pearl buttons and the second card is Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stock. I don't know what the DSP is for the candles, but you could make them any color and the flame is the wing of the Bird Builder Punch on page 223 of annual catalog. Aren't they adorable!  I could use a couple more of these.  I have been absent for a few days cleaning my craft room.  Will share pics of that later.  It is a real mess.  I almost forgot to blog the wonderful cards I got.

Happy B-day Card

Inside of card
This card was made with the gorgeous Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series paper in the Occasions catalog that goes until June 2, 2015. You can find it on page 12.  It has two sheets that has gold on it.  One is balloons and one is confetti but the entire pack has 12 sheets of 5 double sided plus the two specialty papers. Great paper to add to your collection.  The base is Bermuda Bay 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4". The layer of Calypso Coral is next and it measures 5 1/4" X 4" and the Birthday Bash layer is cut at 5" X 3 3/4".  For the Sentiment I used the Balloon Bash Stamp Set on page 13 of the Occasions Catalog and stamped it on Whisper White card stock with Calypso Coral ink.  The other layer is Bermuda Bay and these two layers were cut using the Labels Collection dies on page 231 of annual catalog.  The ribbon is the retired Calypso Coral stretch ribbon.  For the inside I put a Whisper White layer measured at 5 1/4" X 4" and stamped the image from the same set with Calypso Coral ink. All my family birthdays are coming up and I really need a lot of cards.  So, you might be seeing a lot of birthday cards coming up.  All product can be purchased at my online store in the sidebar of the blog.

Easter Goodies for Shayna!

For those of you that read my blog you know my little neighbor has my heart!  I love making stuff for her and Easter is no exception. When her Mom ask me to decorate a cup and bucket for her I jumped at the chance. Of course, I couldn't settle for just that, I had to make her a plate for the bunny snacks and an egg with her name on it, too. She just loves anything handmade. I think this is because her Grammie and Mimi are very talented crafters. The bunny is one of those plush bunnies they were selling at the bank for the March of Dimes. Had to have that for her! She has bubbles, candy in little individual eggs and a light up toy watch. Two wands one with a butterdly and one with a flower.  For the vinyl on the plate, bucket, glass and egg I got at Expressions Vinyl. I used Pastel Orange, Lime Tree Green, Pink, Black and White. The plate was bought at Walmart and the cup was ordered from Sav-a-cup.  Candies and such from Dollar General.

Happy Birthday!! CASED

This card was a favorite I found on Pinterest and just had to make!  The card was very quick and easy to make.  It only took two strips of designer paper for the strips and a circle punch, sentiment and ribbon, along with the Whisper White and Basic Black to do.  Easy Peasy!!!

How to make the card!  Take your favorite designer paper that has a coordinating design front and back and cut into 1 X 3 strips (need 4), punch out to white circles and 3 black circles or what ever color you need.  The reason you cut 3 of one color is that you will be cutting 1 of them in half to put on top of the other.  This breaks up the coloring.  It will also depend on the designer paper you use.  The paper I used is from Back to Black and is an SU product.  Basic Black was the Base card cut at  5 1/2 " X 4 1/4" and the Whisper White was cut to 4 X 5 1/4" and that is what you layer your designer paper to. Make sure you get them lined up properly.  Daffodil Delight ribbon was used go across the circles and this is put on before you layer it to the base card.  Sassy Salutations sentiment was used.  For the inside of the card I used a piece of Daffodil Delight and the paper with the arrow pointing up.  This finishes a card.  Love this stamp set.  I needed this card to send to my niece.  I hope she will like it.

All product can be purchased at my online store in the sidebar.  Megan Daves was the person I cased the card from on Pinterest. Thanks Megan!

Stamp Set : Sassy Salutations 126707. Card stock: Basic Black 133700, Whisper White 100730, Daffodil Delight 119683 and Back to Black Designer Series Paper 133700. Ink: Daffodil Delight 126944.  Accessories: 1" circle punch 119868, snail adhesive 104332, Daffodil Delight grosgrain ribbon retired (sorry).

All Abloom

This card was entered into a sketch challenge and I hope it makes you think of SPRING!  I can't wait for it to get here.  I didn't have as hard a winter as some, but for me it was not a warm one as others have been in the past.  I hope this card will warm you and cheer you up at the same time where ever you are!!!!

Supplies used:
Card stock:  All Abloom Paper Stack 133703, Daffodil Delight 119683, Strawberry Slush 131295 and Whisper White 100730.  Ink: Strawberry Slush 131178.Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes 127802 clear.  Accessories:   2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch 118874, Modern Label 119849, Word Window punch 119857, Apothecary Accents framelits 127003, Neutrals Candy Dots 130934, Dimensionals 104330, snail adhesive 104332, Bakers Twine Whisper White 124262 and Strawberry Slush reinker 131167.

The twine on the card was dyed with the Strawberry Slush reinker to match the paper.  I didn't have any Strawberry Slush ribbon so I decided to dye some twine. I laid the twine on aluminum foil and dropped about 3 drops of reinker and rolled it in the aluminum foil to get it good and coated with the ink.  Took it out and let it dry and then rinsed it and dried it again and this is the results and it doesn't come off on your hands when you rinse it and dry it the second time.  It is a messy job dying it though. Give it a try when you need something to match. Ribbon can be done the same way. If you are short on time you can dry it with your heat gun being careful not to burn you or the twine or ribbon.  Have fun and thanks for stopping by.  Any product you might need can be purchased at the online store by clicking the catalog in the sidebar.

Banner Blessings

Close up of saying
Banner Blessing photopolymer stamp set was used to create these  two cards.  It has 4 images and I will be showing those cards at a later date.  It really makes for a very quick card.  These were made to send to a friend that wanted some handmade cards.  I made her 6 of each.  I kept to the same color scheme for both cards. The dots were put on this card with a sponge dauber.  The Crushed Curry ink was put on first, followed by the Memento Tuxedo Black. You just ink up dauber and go straight down and back up..you don't want to move it around.  If you don't think you have it dark enough then go over it again. This really makes for a fun and quick card. You can do this with any color combo.  For the other card I decided to use the Star framelits and a punch to embellish it.  When you read the sentiment on this one you will know why the stars were used to embellish it.  The colors used on both cards is Crushed Curry, Basic Black and Whisper White.

Supplies used:  Cardstock:  Whisper White 100730, Basic Black 121045, Crushed Curry 131199. Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black 132708, Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker 131262. Accessories: Small Star is from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack 133787 and the other stars are from the Stars Framelits 133723 from center 1 and 2, rhinestones 119246, dimensionals 104330.  You can purchase any of these products in my online store by clicking on the catalog in sidebar.  The product will be delivered right to your door.  Hope you enjoy and please leave a comment.  I love hearing from you.

Playing with My Silhouette

Just playing around with some left over vinyl and cleaning up my work area.  These containers are flower pots from Dollar Tree and when I saw them, it hit me rather quick as to what to do with them.  I have been cleaning up my craft area and wanted to use the color red as my accent color. Love the color red!  So, for the kitchen I made a holder for the plastic ware and for my craft desk made this one to hold my tools.  I have a few more of the pots I am sure I will be able to think of something to put on them.  The white vinyl is from Expressions Vinyl and the utensil image is from Silhouette store.  The words on the tool pot are different fonts I like to use.                             It is so much fun to play with the Silhouette and really create something functional you can use to sit around.

Candle Light for Shayna!

Shayna is the little 2 1/2 year old that lives next door to me.  When she comes for a visit the first thing she goes for is the little battery operated candles I have sitting in some flower votives.  The other day I was at Walmart and saw these big candles and thought of Shayna and her big sister. Shayna's Mom is going to be putting her in the big girl bed soon and I thought something like this might help with the move.  She could have her own light with her name on it. She really likes to see her name on things.  Her Mimi and Grammie monogram her clothes and she really likes to show them off. Her big sister just painted her room a light gray so I thought she might like one too.  I used a light gray and bright blue vinyl from Expressions Vinyl to cut out the names and stars.  The font I used is Lobster 1.4.  Today Shayna's color is blue, who knows what the color will be tomorrow.  LOL!

Soccer Locker Magnets

These were made at my granddaughters request.
They wanted one for each team member and coach. They were simple and easy to make.  The pattern came from the Silhouette Store.  We needed 18 soccer balls. The paper used is Basic Black and Whisper White from Stampin' Up. The gold used is a retired color from Stampin' Up. Mono Adhesive glue was used to put them together and then laminated each one and put a magnet on the back. Their Mom came to help me put them together and cut them into circles. The girls love to put the magnets on their lockers at school.  We did this for the basketball season too.  These can be saved for their scrap books at the end of the season.  I really enjoy doing projects for my grand girls.  The Silhouette Cameo makes the job of creating projects like this very easy and takes a lot of the grunt out of the work.  They had their first game yesterday and lost 3-0, but they played a good game.  A little chilly for them to be playing the temp was 40.  Last year it was much nicer weather.  This has been a tough winter on so many states and I hope everybody is thinking SPRING!  We need it!

Oh My Goodies! Birthday Card

This card was made for a sketch contest in a group I belong to. I really thought of this set of stamps when I saw the sketch.  I have had them in my collection and had never used them.  The top layer of card stock is from the Designer Series Paper Stack called Moonlight 133701 page 185 of the annual catalog.  The strip going across is an in-color called Lost Lagoon 133679 that coordinates with the Moonlight DSP Stack.  Sentiment was stamped with Lost Lagoon ink 133644 on Whipser White card stock 100730 and attached with dimensionals 104330.  The base of the card is Whisper White.  Rhinestones 119246 were added to each side of the sentiment that was die cut with the Deco Label Dies 130102 page 231 of annual catalog.  I sponged Lost Lagoon ink around the edges of the top piece so it wouldn't blend with the Whisper White.  Let me hear from you and happy stamping and crafting!

One Layer Thank You!

As you can probably tell.... Another Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set 136835 is one of my all time favorites.  I needed a quick thank you card for personal use. The Work of Art Stamp Set 134114 was sitting on the corner of my work area and that got me started. Ink pads used were Gumball Green 126861, Bermuda Bay 131171, Perfect Plum 126963 and Tuxedo Black ink for sentiment 132708.  I stamped off so the colors wouldn't be so dark.  Whisper White card stock cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2 " and scored at 4 1/4".  This makes a quick and easy card.  Have fun with it! Change the colors to suit you and your surroundings or the season!  I wanted something a little light since the weather hasn't been all that great around here lately.  Happy Stamping,  Johnnie
