Sketch Challenge

I joined a sketch challenge this month and this is what I came up with.  I used the new in-colors for most of the card.  Watermelon Wonder is the base card and for the next two layers Cherries on Top Designer Series Paper Stack were used along with the inks and Watermelon Wonder Lace Trim ribbon for the knot bow.  I cut the two layers on top at 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 and the top layer at 2 1/2 x 3 1/2, the tag was cut two inches at first and put in the tag topper punch and then I cut it down a little more to suit me.  The sentiment is from Sprinkles of Life stamp set in Watermelon Wonder with the sprinkles on the tag done in Watermelon Wonder, Delightful Dijon, Cucumber Crush and Bermuda Bay. Dimensionals were used to pop the tag on top
and glue dots were used on the ribbon.  The second picture shows the sentiment better.  On the inside is Happy Birthday.  I am in the middle of having to make quite a few birthday cards and was glad this sketch came along.

Supplies:

Stamp Set:  Sprinkles of Life (This set is the one if you buy SU will donate $3 to Ronald McDonald House) Love that idea!!
C/S: Watermelon Wonder 138334, Cherries on Top DSP 138443, Whisper White 100730.

Accessories: Dimensionals 104330, Snail Adhesive 104332, Glue Dots 103683

This was a quick and easy card to make and I hope you will make some.

Butterfly Basics Birthday Cards

Butterfly Basic Stamp set is my all time favorite. You can use one or two of the stamps in the set or you can use all of them.  I have made multiple cards with this set.  Only 3 colors of ink was used on this card.  I used the stamp off method to make the colors lighter for background effect. On the background Whisper White card stock the stamp that looks a little like chicken wire was used with Sahara Sand ink and stamped off. This was done on the entire piece of white.  Then the ferns were stamped with Old Olive ink..you stamp the dark one then keep stamping off to get the lighter ones. The flower and butter fly were stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink using the same method.  The date stamp you can barely see behind the butterfly wing is stamped off and then stamped.  You can't see them real well, but I used rhinestones on the center of butterfly and in center of each little flower.  For the inside and I forgot to take a picture before sealing envelope is the saying from Remembering your Birthday stamp set. Truly easy card...it took about 20 minuted to do 2.

A list of supplies used:

Stamp sets: Butterfly Basics 137154 and inside Remembering Your Birthday 131350
Cardstock: Whisper White 100730, Elegant Eggplant 105126
Ink: Elegant Eggplant 105210, Old Olive 126953, Sahara Sand 126976
Accessories: Butterfly Thinlits 137360, Rhinestones 119246, dimensionals 104330, snail adhesive 104332

This is cased not in its entirety from a card on Pinterest...please visit my card board and you will see the one I semi-copied.

Candy Jars for Father's Day Gifts

The candy jars were the perfect idea for the guys with a "Sweet Tooth". The designs were purchased in the Silhouette and changed around some to fit each person.  One likes Laffy Taffy and for the other one Reese's peanut butter cups.  The jars were purchased at Walmart and the vinyl is from Expressions Vinyl.  Black and Red were used for the jars.  The flourish is also from the Silhouette Store  This shows you the versatility of  some of the designs you can play with from the Silhouette Store.  I think the "Sweet Tooth" problem has been met.  For the Laffy Taffy it took two bags and for the Reese's it took 4 bags.  Makes for a nice gift that will look okay sitting on the counter in your kitchen.

Woot!  you have a cute gift! The candles are Vanilla Fragrance. Love the Silhouette Cameo.

Storage Box Bag

Hey ya'll, I trust you had a nice long weekend and are ready to get back crafting!!! I know I am.  Out of the kitchen and into the craft room.  The project today came from Bonnie Carington and she has a video on her site and on You Tube. This is just so stinking cute and you may see more of them on on my site in the future.  You take a Wood mount box from Stampin' Up and cut your DSP or plain cardstock to 11 1/4 X 7 and the the two strips are 11 1/4 X 1".  Copy your handles on the copy machine and use these as guides.  You will need a screw driver, drill, pull drawer handle, snail adhesive and whatever you want to embellish with.  I chose to put my last initial on this one by cutting it from Bermuda Bay with my Silhouette.  The DSP used is from Stampin' Up and is called Birthday Bash (retired). You want your strips to come up under the handles just like it is a suitcase.  That is why you take a handle and copy where the holes are on your copy machine or however you feel is best for you.  You lay this pattern at the top of your sheet of 11 1/4 X 7 paper and adhere your strips.  Then you take this and put it in your case being careful as to not cut the plastic.  When you watch Bonnie's video it will come together for you.  The handle is put on the back spine of the box. You can make a !st Aid Kit, Sewing Kit, Makeup case, Pencil Box, Tool Box, Crayon Travel Box for kids, etc.  Just have fun!!!Click here to go to Stamp Happy Honey blogspot.  She has a lot of other wonderful things for you to look at.

Back Scratcher Gifts

I found these in the cosmetic dept of Walmart and thought they would be cute monogrammed for Father's Day. So, here they are!!!  I used the font Times Roman and Loki Cola for the monograms with Black Vinyl from Expressions Vinyl.  They were not expensive and make such a cute gift.  They are extendable. I put the package with it so if you are looking for them you can identify pretty quick. So easy to do and quite cute, I think.

Father's Day Card

I used some retired Modern Medley DSP and made strips of varying sizes with it and put them on scrap cardstock.  The twine was wrapped around the top layering piece and the strips were put on with dimensionals.  The sentiment is from a Paper Pumpkin Kit I got last year.  Love these kits.  Simple and easy and you can use any sentiment with this layout.  Change up the colors of the DSP and you have a cute card.

Cased Thank You!

This card was on Pinterest and I liked the clean lines of it so much I just had to case it.  The Sentiment is from the Stampin' Up Stamp Set..Something to Say 134180. The paper used for the banner has retired, Back to Black as well as the Flower Punch and Stamp Set for the flower.  I just wanted to make this because it was so clean and crisp looking.  And an added bonus is I had all the stuff to do it with.  The leaves were made with Old Olive and the same punch as the flower called "Blossom" punch.  Hope you like and please visit Pinterest and look at my boards.  I can't remember who made it but I just love it.

Swap Cards

i received these cards in a swap a couple of weeks ago.  They are so pretty and I wanted to show them so you could enjoy them too!  Notice the Pink Pirouette and Smoky Slate card..the doily has had part of it cut out so it will give a different look and she used a medallion sticker. The Basic Black card with Sahara Sand and some of the DSP from the Sale-a-bration catalog and the Back to Black DSP that two rows of pearls were layered on.  I just love this effect. The Pear Pizzaz Card with Whipser White and the sentiment is stamped in Smoky Slate.  These are some cute cards and I will be swapping again with these ladies in the near future.  Hope you enjoy!

Wedding Cards

These cards were made with Basic Black and Very Vanilla Cardstock.  The sentiments are from stamps sets by Stampin' Up called Your Perfect Day137160 and For the New Two 138562 and embossing folder Lovely Lace 133737. Pearls and black rhinestones were used for embellishments.  The ribbon is some I had on hand and it is a cream color.  The Deco Labels Colletion framelits, Label Love, and Apothecary framelits were used to make the shapes for sentiments.  For the inside I made a bell shape on my Silhouette Cameo in Very Vanilla and stamped a sentiment on it from the two different stamp sets listed above.  Easy and quick.

Father's Day Gifts

We decided to do some hammers for the men in the family.  The grands wanted to choose the sayings and this is what they came up with.  I used Black, Purple and Pastel Orange 631 vinyl for the project. The fonts are Blenda Script, Black Boys on Mopeds, and Andulas.  We even made one for my little neighbor to give her Dad.  These were fun to make and I hope you will go on Pinterest and check the others out.  I bought the hammers at Harbor Freight.  The vinyl is from Expressions Vinyl.

Sketch Challenge Card

I have been missing in action for a couple of days.  My grands are out of school and I have been enjoying them.  We went shopping and worked on their golf cart.  They will be leaving for the beach soon.  So, no crafting has been going on.  This card was made for a sketch challenge I entered.  The woodgrain embossing folder was used for the top layer and then I used Back to Black DSP for the large circle, Basic Black and Whisper White for the other two circles.  I used the circle collection by SUI.  The stamp set was Wetlands and I used two of the images plus birthday stamp all from same set. The two strip going across are about 1/2" and are on top of one another and they are layered on top of the DSP circle and the other two are put on with dimensionals.  You can never have enough masculine cards.  To me they are the hardest to make.  Have fun!

Graduation Cards

My twin neighbors are graduating next week from York Comprehensive High School in York, SC and these are the cards I made for them with a little cash inside.  The envelopes are from April's My paper Pumpkin  Kit.  The cards are cut to fit and I used two different stamp sets, Blue Ribbon and Pure Gumption.  Can't remember where the Congratulations came from, but it fit.  The stars were punched from the Itty Bitty Paper Punch set and the hat on the outside was cut with my Silhouette!.  The saying on the front is "The tassel was worth the hassle" in case you can't see it. For the card I used Basic  Black, Brushed Silver and Whisper White card stock.  Momento Black ink was used for images. I think it turned out pretty neat and I hope they will like them.  Below is a picture of the front and inside of card.

Any questions please email me!
