Modern Medley DSP!!!!

Modern Medley
Modern Medley is one of my favorite Stampin' Up Designer Series Papers.  I have a workshop once a month with 5 Ladies and this is what we made for our March project.  I cased the five-way flower card but the rest I created with a friend and if it looks like someone else's then good minds think alike.  I can't remember where I saw the five-way flower card, but thanks to that creative person for sharing it.  I fell in love with it the moment I first saw it (it enabled me to buy the stamp).  Very Vanilla card stock looks great with this paper. There were so many more we could have made. Hope you like this project. This is my first post and I am in learning mode, so be patient with me. Listed below are the supplies used for this project.

Chic n Clique

I wanted to tell you about the new program Angie Kennedy-Juda has going.  I have been viewing Angie's blog for many years and watched it grow.  This program she has going is for membership only.  There is a Premium and a Regular membership.  Go check her site out and see which one you would like to belong to. She has tutorials, projects, video's other than what she has on her regular site.  You can join the bi-weekly sketches and there are some really cute cards showing up on the sketch board.  I am really excited for her and hope you will consider checking it out.   Go to ChicnClique Forum or www.chicnscratch.com

Below is the  first  sketch sent in to the Sketch Forum: And Yes, again I used Modern Medley DSP!! My all time favorite DSP!

I used the Modern Medley DSP126926, Very Vanilla 101650, and Basic Black 121045, Candy dots neutral 130934, Decorative Label punch 120907, 1 1/4" Circle punch, Modern Label punch119849, and Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set 127802 WM.  This is my go to set for most sentiments it has 24 sentiments you can use.  I cut the Decorative Label in Very Vanilla in half long ways and then layered the basic black so you could just see the edges of the Very Vanilla.  So, I hope this information has been helpful and you will go visit her site.  You can't go wrong by just visiting but once you get there you will want to stay.

Thinking of You!!!! and Ready for Spring!!!!!

Are we ready for Spring or what!!!!! LOVE this card! The Oval Collections is one of my favorite dies to use.  I like making cards with them and along with punches it makes it quick and easy to get a card done in no time.  On this card the Boho Blossoms punch was used along with Whisper White, Pool Party, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi card stock for the flowers and leaves. Early Expresso card stock and ink was used for the layering and sentiment.  For the leaves I used the Little Leaves Sizzlits. Pearls were used for center of flowers. We made this card in the monthly workshop.  Don't forget to finish the inside of your card. I forgot to take a picture of  the inside but you can always punch a flower and cut a small piece of the leave and glue it in.  The inside of the card is just as important as the outside, I think.  Hope you like and a supply list is provided below for your shopping convenience in my online store here!

Ink: Early Expresso 126974 and refill 119789.

Wedding Card

The Wedding season is upon us!  You want to look just as stylish as the wedding party with your special card for that special day.  Hope this idea will help you make that special card.

This card uses the flower from Blooming with Kindness, but I bought it when it was being sold separately.  The Mr. and Mrs. stamp is from the Label Love stamp set. The piece behind the sentiment is from Label Bracket punch and Chalk Talk and Modern Mosaic embossing folder was used.  Also, the Artisan Label punch was used to punch out the Mr. and Mrs. label. Basic black was used to make the flag behind the Chalk Talk label.  I think you can tell how simply but elegant this card is with using Basic Black and Whisper White card stock.  You could also use Silver or Gold glitter paper as the flag behind the sentiment. The Foil paper wouldn't look bad either, in silver or gold.
This is the inside of the card and like I said before in another project the inside is important, also. I just stamped the Blooming with Kindness a little off the edge with Black Staz-on ink. Nice subtle finish to the inside. I don't usually stamp a sentiment in the card until I am ready to use it.  This has just become a habit of mine and that way I can personalize to the person I am giving it to.  I will list the supplies below for your shopping convenience.  Enjoy!!!

I cased this card from Natalie Kennedy at Sit.Stay.Stamp blog.  She put a gold flag behind her sentiment.  I liked that but just wanted to change it up a bit.  This card was posted on Pinterest. We also did this card in my monthly club.
