July 1st...6 sets of Blendabilities will be available to customers along with some accessories (check list below). Each marker set assortment is a trio of coordinating shades. They are light, medium and dark.  After playing around with the markers I like using the fine point better than the brush tip.

Check out You Tube they have some great tututorials if you are a little hesitate to try.  The colors are outstanding.

The six additional colors in the catalog (Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, Melon Mambo, Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Wisteria Wonder) will be released for customer purchase on Aug. 1.
  • Coastal Cabana Assortment (131000)
  • Cherry Cobbler Assortment (130995)

Work of Art and Everything Eleanor

I was going through some of my favorite blogs the other day and saw a card by Sandi McIver done with these stamps white on white.  Well, I have not really been a fan of white on white but loved her cards immediately. When I watched her video I decided to back mine with the new in colors and see what they looked like.  I really think it made them pop.  Sandi is a very dynamic stamper and oh so talented. Please visit her site  by clicking on her name Sandi.  Supplies used: Stamp sets: Everything Eleanor 124164, Work of Art 134114 and sentiment came from Peaceful Petals that was in the Occassions Mini.  You can use any sentiment just watch the spacing. Meet Ms. Lioness

This card was done by a member of our workshop group, Joyce Lineburger.  Just the cutest child's birthday card, don't you think!  She used More Mustard card stock (retired), Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip.  The Very Vanilla was sponged with More Mustard. Small heart punch for the nose, but notice the eyes...she has eyelashes (non- SU) and the whiskers were done with a black marker.  The mane of the lioness was done with the Blossom punch page 219 of new catalog item # 125603.  I think she said the idea was on Pinterest.  Just a sweet card for a child, don't you think!  Remember don't forget to finish the inside of your card.  Make it as special as the front of the card.  Thanks Joyce.

Oh, Happy Day!

Hi Stampers...this is another card we made at workshop.  Using Basic Black, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White Cardstock.  I have had this set for sometime and kept trying to come up with the time to incorporate it into the workshop agenda and it finally happened. We had a great workshop day and all the ladies in the group are so talented and I will be featuring some of their artistry later on in some of  my future posts.  The base card is 8 x 4 and opens on the side. The Daffodil Delight Layer is 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 and the top layer of Basic Black measures 3 1/2 x 3/12.   I made a card similar in another post early on that opens from the bottom. The Floral Framelits were used to cut the flower in Daffodil Delight and then embossed with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder and sponged a little darker with Daffodil Delight ink.  The Basic Black circle was cut from the Circles Collection using the 5th circle from center of group.  The sentiment from Starburst Sayings was stamped in Stazon Black ink and cut out with the Starburst Framelit.  Then a 1/4 " x 3 1/2 strip of Daffodil Delight was put in Decorative Dots embossing folder and sponged and added to the front. Inside of card was finished with a Whisper White square with a strip of Daffodil Delight added to bottom.  Supplies used: Cardstock: Daffodil Delight 119683, Basic Black 121045, Whisper White 100730. Ink: StazOn Black 101406 and Daffodil Delight for sponging 126944, Stamp sets: Starburst Sayings 133185, Tools and Accessories:  Starburst Framelits 132967, Circles Collection Framelits 130911, Floral Framelits 127012, Decorative Dots embossing folder 133520, Stamping sponges 101610, Dimensionals 104430, Snail adhesive 104332, Multipurpose Glue 110755. Daffodil Delight Get Well

I love the color combination of this card.  I haven't paid much attention to Island Indigo and this particular piece of DSP from Gingham Garden (retired).  The Flower Shop Stamp set is so versatile and such a wonderful stamp set to work with for all occasions and added bonus is the punch you use to cut out the flowers! Supplies used:  Stamp Set Flower Shop  (w) 130939, (c) 130942, Sassy Salutations for sentiment (w) 132070, (c) 126707 both are page 67 of new catalog.  Ink: Island Indigo 126986. Cardstock: Daffodil Delight 119683, Old Olive 100702 for leaves. Tools and accessories: Pansy Punch 130698, Bird Builder Punch for leaves 117191, 2 1/2"  circle punch 120906, rhinestones 119246, Island Indigo ribbon 122974, snail adhesive 104332.  Regular A2 card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2. DSP for front measures 2 x 5 1/2. We will do this card in our workshop today.   If you need any of these products please click on the catalog in sidebar and it will take you to my online store.

Fairy Card to share from a friend!

I wanted to share a card with you all that a friend of mine from Nebraska sent to me awhile back.  She does such lovely work.  I think the little people and fairies that she does just pop off the page like they are real. She is now an SU demonstrator...you go Danni.  She has a  blog, works, has two children, elementary and middle school age, I think.  Her husband retired out of the armed services and will be working for the railroad.  I have never met her in person, but on the phone and in emails I think it would be a delight to get to know her.  You can check her blog here it is called Danni's Dreams. You will be amazed! Her color choices with paper is so inspiring and the coloring is just awesome.  Look at the wings on this fairy, she looks like she could just take off at any minute. The hair is just beautiful. I can't say enough about the artistry of this
friend. I think I shared another one with you some time ago. I want to be like Danni and color with copic's, blendabilities and put things together so nicely.  This I will continue to strive to do. Ho, Hum!  Thanks Danni for such a beautiful card and I hope I will receive many more.

Endless Birthday Wishes!!!!!

Front

inside
Hello Fellow Stampers,  It has been a busy time and I have been wide open.  I am in the process of rearranging my crafting area, again and getting ready for my next workshop.  Just a little crazy right now.  Thanks to my wonderful husband it has made some of the changes a little easier to do.  Those pictures will be coming later.  The card I have done to day is from the Endless Wishes Birthday photopolymer set.  I needed to make a card for my grand daughter and since she will be 11, I wanted to do her favorite color PINK with a little bling. Supplies used:
Stamp set:  Endless Birthday Wishes 137553, Ink: Memento Black 132708, Melon Mambo 126948 and markers Smokey Slate 131898, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight 119677, Card Stock: Basic Black 121045,  Kaleidoscope (retired) DSP, Tools: Oval Framelits 129381, Scallop Edge Border 119882, snail adhesive 104332, rhinestones 119246.  Don't forget the inside of your card.  And as always if you need any of these supplies please click on the catalog in sidebar and it will take you to my online store.

Cards Made at Project Share Day!!!

Hello Stampers......these are the two cards we made at the Saturdays Project Share Day.  They were a lot of fun to make.  The first one is done with the Blendabilities Daffodil Delight and Blended Bloom stamp set and the second one is made using the new DSP Lullaby paper, Coastal Cabana card stock, Something for Baby Stamp set and sentiment was from the stamp set Something to say and stamped in Early Expresso ink. The Blended Blooms card stock is Daffodil Delight and Basic Black. The Blended Bloom card  was cased from Dawn Griffith and the baby card was cased from Stamping Sunshine blog. Thanks Dawn and Sherrie for sharing.  Using the Blendabilities is something you have to work with to get your own technique.  Some say use the circular motion, others say use a flicking motion and then go over it with the next color and so on.  You really have to sit down and decide what is best for you.  I think the ladies did a great job for the first time and I really appreciate their patience in trying it out for the first time. You Tube has some great tutorials that will help you get started....check'em out.

New Product Share!!!

Hi Stampers, On June 7th I had a new catalog product share with people in my workshop!  A lot of fun was had by all.  I did 3 give away's and gave presents to the June birthday girls ( I didn't get pictures, bummer). But I did get some pictures of the product on display, folks attending and pictures of the cards made. Product shown was Project Life, Cello bags, New in-color paper, ribbon and stamp pads, Stamp sets.   These two pictures show how I displayed the New In color Card stock, ribbon and ink and they received a bookmark stamped with the new ink color.  The stamps were displayed on a different counter.  I just love the new baby stamp set  Something for Baby and matching framelits. Thanks Angie for sending us the bookmark template.
In color ribbon, card stock and ink.
Stamps, framelits and Card stock book
The list of stamps on display are Work of Art 134114, Something for Baby and Framelits Bundle (save 15%) 136791 clear mount, Something to Say 134180. Photopolymer Endless Wishes Birthday 137553, Hostess sets Bloom with Hope and Life's Adventure and there are many more in the book I want.  I have a 4 page wish list.  Whew!  I just love the Project Life Product.  I made a page of my 1st granddaughter ( will have to get busy on the 2nd grand before she finds out) and It was so easy.  I had stopped doing scrapbooking because it had just gotten so involved and I just didn't want to take the time away from my stamping....now I can incorporate both crafts into one.  Thanks! Stampin'Up for helping me get motivated again. Here is a picture of the ladies hard at work learning how to work with blendabilities. I think they did a wonderful job since they were using them for the first time.  As I said earlier we did two projects one with Blendabilities and the other was the Something for Baby set. I really enjoy getting things
Thanks Joyce!
Project Life pages 188-189
Some of the workshop group
together for the workshops and this is the first product share I have done since becoming a full time demonstrator.  I believe we will have more in the future. Joyce Lineberger, one of the ladies in the group brought me some beautiful red (my favorite color) knockout roses.  For our food  we had a ham pasta salad and Ann Gordon made a beautiful cake and I forgot to take a picture.  This is all new to me and I will get in the groove next time around. Maybe!  I just know the cake was wonderful and I enjoyed it a lot. I also made them a book with all the card stock colors punched out and glued to a separate page.  This really helped me to make sure I had all the colors and wasn't running out of anything.   I will put the cards we made on another blog post.  Please click on annual catalog in sidebar and it will take you to my online store if you are in need of any of these products.  Thanks and have a great weekend.

Happy Stamping!

Blendabilities 101

From left to right: Daffodil Yello, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Pool
Party, Old Olive, the lifter and Memento Black ink
 Hi Everybody,

I went to You Tube to see what I could find out about Blendabilities.  Wow! Awesome information.  So, Watch Deb Valder for a Blendabilities Beginners class on You Tube and she also has a video using white vellum cardstock.  She makes everything so clear and precise.  There are several you might want to watch but she is my all time favorite.

Some information for you on the Blendabilities by Stampin' Up!

1.  What are Blendabilities: They are alcohol ink markers made for blending and shading.  They are acid free, lignin free.
2.  They come 3 to a pack in light, medium and dark inks. Skin tone has six and you can also get a color lifter.
3.  Two different points to work with....brush point and fine tip and they are made from nylon, this will keep them from fraying.
4.  The caps fit real tight, so be careful you don't have anyone sitting next to you or your fine china is sitting around.  They need to be this tight and the cap has a ridge on it to keep the alcohol and ink from evaporating.
5.  There will be 12 sets as soon as SU gets all the Blendabilities in.  Customers will not be able to get them until the end of June or early July.  Will keep you posted on availability.  If you join as a demonstrator you can get some of them in your kit.
6.  It is recommended that you use Memento Black ink ( it has no odor like some other black stamp pads do) to stamp images and allow it to dry for about 30 seconds so you make sure it doesn't bleed.
7.  Some recommend that you go from light to dark with your markers and do so in a
circular motion.
8.  You can color buttons, rhinestones, window sheets, vellum, metal, etc.
9. The White Color lifter is to correct coloring mistakes by lifting the color from the paper.

These are the colors that will be released sometime in late June or early July.  The other 6 sets will be released at a later date. There items are on page 212 of the New Catalog
  • Cherry Cobbler (item #130995)
  • Coastal Cabana (item #131000)
  • Daffodil Delight (item #130998)

  • Pumpkin Pie (item #130997)

Napkin Card

Hi Stampers, I was going through my stash cleaning out again and came across this card.  When I saw it I thought of Di Gibbs and Andrea Cimino.  Di raises chickens or maybe they raise her and Andrea is wanting to start raising chickens.  I wish them the best, too.  This card was made with a napkin.  I did this at Ann Gordon's house about 1 1/2 years ago. This is a great technique.  You pull the napkin apart and take the patterned piece and iron it on  to freezer paper.  Check out You Tube for the directions on how to do this technique.  Notice the die cut used.  You can pretty much cut them into any shape.  Just make sure you don't get the iron to hot and you don't have water in it.  So, go find you a pretty napkin and get started.

Happy Playing,

Good Old Modern Medley and Paper Pumpkin

Hi Stampers,  This card is the second sketch I did for ChicnClique biweekly sketch.  I really like being challenged in this way.  It makes you think outside your comfort zone.  Again, I used my all time favorite Modern Medley and the Happy Father's Day stamp I got this month in my Paper Pumpkin Kit.  You can tell I am not a photographer. I hope you like!  I just cut graduated strips of Modern Medley DSP and one strip for center of Basic Black card stock.  The sentiment was stamped with Basic Black ink.  The twine was wrapped around the layer of Very Vanilla and a small bow tied on right side of card facing you.  The strips were attached with dimensionals and the Very Vanilla layer was snailed adhered to the Basic Black card stock.  Sentiment was stamped on Very Vanilla and punched out with the large oval punch and a piece of Basic Black was cut with the next to smallest Oval dies.  You can barely see it.  It really shows in person.  Stampin' Up supplies used: Stamp: Happy Father's Day from the May Paper Pumpkin kit.  Visit Stampin'Up for more information about the Paper Pumpkin kit.  Card stock: Basic Black 121045, Very Vanilla 101650 and Modern Medley DSP 126926 ( will not be available after June 2nd upon availability).  Ink: Basic Black 126980. Tools and Accessories: Dimensionals 104430, snail adhesive 104332. Non SU is the black twine.

If you need any of these supplies please click on the catalog in sidebar.  Don't forget to leave a comment.
