Another thank You!

We used this stamp set the other day in workshop and I had it sitting on my work space and a piece of white cardstock laying beside it and it started calling my name.....do something with me! And this is what I came up with.  I love this photopolymer stamp set!  I was going to use the biggest thank you in the stamp set but it was just to big for me.  A very simple and quick cards to make.  I laid out all the layers and stamped them at the same time with a few mishaps along the way.  Took all of 30 minutes to make 8 cards.  Notice on one of the cards I used some Real Red twine but didn't like the way it looked so did not do the others with it.  At first I thought the hearts made it look like Valentine's, but then I thought its okay cause we should have a heart all the time, not just at Christmas and Valentine's.  This is what I am giving the workshop group as a thank you for the orders placed this month.  You could even place some rhinestones randomly to perk it up a little. This would look good in any color...go play with your inks and stamps!
Supplies used all Stampin' Up:

Stamp set: Another Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set 136835
Cardstock:  Real Red 102482, Whisper White 100730 and on the inside I used Whisper White
Ink: Real Red 126949
Accessories:  Labels Collection framelit for inside of card in Whisper White, Snail Adhesive 104332.

As you can see not much in supplies was used but the cards are cute and simple.  As always, you can purchase these supplies from my online store located in the sidebar, click on catalog.

Cake Server and Pyrex Dish Clemson Style!

I have been working on several projects for my niece for her tailgating and camping ventures.  She gave me a cake server and told me to do what I wanted, so I did! Then I met a woman in Walmart that needed help with the size of a pyrex dish (she couldn't see the numbers).  She said she was looking for a certain size because a friend was going to glass etch the Clemson paw into the dish. Welllllll.....you know what that did to me! Yep! I had to go to Michael's and get some Armor Etch and a real sweet individual in Cheraw, SC shared an image with me.  Thanks Bethany...you are the bom! So, now I am enabled to do another craft.  I just love people who share ideas with others.  You are a special breed of people.  Not everyone is that generous.  Now on to the projects.  I decorated the cake server in orange and purple with the initial and then I etched the paw into the pyrex dish and then thought this needs more and put her last name on the side.  I think they turned out pretty cute for the first one's I did.  Yeah me!
Back side of cake server

Hope you enjoy my projects and this will give you inspiration to go play in your craft room today.  I bought my vinyl at Expressions Vinyl.

Happy playing,

Festival of Trees and Glimmer!

This was such a sweet card to make.  This card was made in our workshop, too.  All Is Calm DSP was used as the top layer on Old Olive card stock.  Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White finished off the top layer.  A 2" circle of Glitter cardstock was cut and put on with dimensionals. Then the two trees from the Festival of Trees stamp set were stamped with Old Olive and Pear Pizzaz ink and punched out with coordinating punch.  The tree with the white circles were colored in with the Cherry Cobbler marker.  A Merry Little Wish.. sentiment was stamped in Cherry Cobbler in and a flagged end was cut and placed under the tree in the front.  The first tree was glued down using snail and the second one is on dimensionals.  Rhinestones were used to give it some more bling.  The red bow is from some retired ribbon.  It is Cherry Cobbler with a white edging.  On the inside I placed a Whisper White circle and added a tree punched out in Pear Pizzaz.

Stamp Set: Festival of Trees Bundle 137640, this comes with tree punch
Paper: Glimmer paper 135314, Old Olive 100702, Cherry Cobbler 119685, Whisper White 100730
Ink: Old Olive 126953, Cherry Cobbler 126966, Pear Pizzaz 131180
ccessories:  Rhinestones 119246, snail adhesive 104322, dimensionals 104330, glue dots for bow 103683. This card was cased from Pinterest but some things were changed with the supplies I had.

Another Thank You

We made this card in our workshop and I cannot remember what the name of the DSP is and can't find a package to tell me where I got it.  Woe is me!  I think that tells me I have to much stuff!  But I do know what cardstock I used.  Very Vanilla, Old Olive (my all time favorite in the green family of colors), Cherry Cobbler.  Cherry Cobbler was used for sentiment. Sentiment is from Another Thanks photopolymer set.  Another of my favorite stamp sets.  On the inside I put a Very Vanilla insert. Quick and simple is the name of the game. Cherry Cobbler ribbon was used for the center of the card. Hope you will leave a comment and have a great weekend.  Stay warm!

A Million and One Thansk!

This is another of the Thank You's we are doing in workshop.  Early Expresso cardstock and Whisper White cardstock was used to make this cute card.  The DSP is from last year.  We are trying to use up some of the left papers that we liked so much.  The Oval framelit was used for the sentiment.  You can use any stamp set or saying and just use this like a card layout.  The inside is finished with a piece of Whisper White and DSP strip.

Happy Stamping!

Paper Pumpkin Pie

I wanted to show you this cute October Paper Pumpkin Kit results.  I didn't get a picture of all the stuff that came in it.  There are enough supplies left to make a couple of cards.  I gave this kit to Ann Gordon to play with and this is what she produced.  Ann is taking chemo and sometimes doesn't feel like crafting, etc and this was right up her crafty mode.  This is what one slice looked like and she filled them with candy. I hope you like! Thanks Ann for such a lovely pie.

About Paper Pumpkin:  It is a kit you can receive each month from Stampin' Up.  Each month is a different theme and after they send all of the kits out, what they have left as far as ingredients for kit you can buy extra.  There have been several I liked so much that I had to do just that.  So...each month you will get a surprise at your door.  You can unsubscribe at any time and it is only $17.95 a month that includes shipping.  The subscription can also be sent as a gift to someone. Go to www.stampinup.com/paperpumpkin and check out the details.  You won't regret it!

My New Crafty Love!

As you all know if you have read my blog recently I received a Silhouette Cameo for my birthday.  It is now my most favorite thing to play with when I have time.  The uses for this machine are endless. You can make cards, boxes, monogram, transfers, stencils, ornaments and wall hangings... and so much more...that I probably don't even know about.  If you have been thinking about getting one...think no more, DO IT!  I had been thinking about it and a friend of mine had said she was going to get one, so we did it at the same time and we have had so much fun.  She put her granddaughters name on her wagon for her birthday.  It was so cute.  Sorry I don't have a picture to share.  You can put things on metal, wood, class, cloth, etc.  They are well worth the investment and technical support is very helpful.  I have had a bad sinus infection the last couple of days (haven't had one in several years) and this has helped to keep me going.  I like working with vinyl more than paper, but it is rewarding also. I think I like it better than stamping now.  I want to share a collage of things I have done recently: Christmas ornaments, wall art, and cards. I hope you can see these okay. All images are from the Silhouette Store. These are some gifts I have made for my niece to use and the card will be made in workshop on Monday.  Stampin' Up cardstock was used on all projects.

This month in club it is Christmas cards and thank you's  and this is what I will be swapping with the others.

Happy crafting,
Johnnie Sexton

1st Christmas Card!

These are the first Christmas cards I made.  I am behind and have been MIA for about a week.  I have a lot going on and things that must get done, so if you see me missing again it is because I am tying up some loose ends.  Please notice the difference in the two cards.  Not just the sentiment but the placing of the snowflakes. One of them was put down a little farther on the card than the other one.  Just wanted to see what a difference it would make if any.  I think I like the one on the right the best. Which one do you like?

Supplies:

Stamp sets:  Wondrous Wreath 135047, Sassy Salutations 126707.
Paper: Trim the Tree DSP Paper Stack 135824 (3/4" strip), Cherry Cobbler 119685, Whisper White 100730, Silver Glitter paper 135314.
Ink: Cherry Cobbler 126966
Accessories: glue dots 103683, snail adhesive 104332, dimensionals 104330, 7/8" Scallop Circle punch, the snowflake framelits are retired as is the stone embellishment in the center of the snowflake.

Hope you like and Happy Stamping!  Johnnie Sexton

Megan and Makayla the Grands!

Just wanted to share the finishing of the Cross Country Season that my granddaughters participated in.  This was Makayla's first year for Cross Country and big sister Megan's third.  They do so well in sports that I have to brag, you know.  Megan was 9th in her school and number 38 in State (she competed with 160 other girls) say wow!  She runs on the Varsity Team!  Makayla finished 7th in her middle school division. They both made high honor roll while participating in Cross Country and they have a lot of homework to keep up with.  This is why I am bragging about them.  I made these cards (they had a surprise inside) awhile back with something to celebrate in mind with the girls.  The cards are similar but different in one tiny way.  One has rhinestones and the other one pearls.  And some of the paper is a little different, too. It was a joy to see the girls perform so beautifully  and the State meet was awesome. Makayla leaned over and told me she was getting nervous for the others and she wasn't even running.

Megan also celebrated her 14th birthday at the end of the season and I had wanted to make her a collage of her on horse, one or two with her sister and her initial in one of her favorite colors.  I hope she liked it.  They don't stay little long, do they!
Megan is on the left and Makayla on the right.  Horses name is Ratchet!

Thanks for letting me share this with you and I hope to be back with more as they both made the basketball team this year!  Go Indians!

Happy Fall Ya'll!
Johnnie
