My Favorite Valentine Card from Last Year

You're Just My Type

This is my most favorite card from last year and I wanted to share it with you.  If you own a typewriter stamp and heart punch you can make this card.  It was so much fun and so easy to do.  I have given you the instructions as to how the card was constructed.  Have fun!

Stampin' Up supplies:
  • Stamps: You're My Type 125650 (retired)
  • Ink: Real Red 126949, Staz-on Black 101406 pg. 165 annual catalog
  • Card Stock: Real Red 102482, Whisper White 100730, scraps of Whisper White and Real Red.
  • Accessories: Scissors, Clear embossing powder 109130, Fashionable Hearts Embosslits pg 188 in annual catalog, Deco Label Framelits 130102 (for inside card layer), Dimensionals 104430, snail adhesive, heat tool 129053
Measurements:

  • Card base – 4 ¼ X 11, layered piece for front is 4 X 5 ¼.

Constructing Card: (Please read instructions all the way through before starting)

  • Fold and crease card base, stamp image on layering piece with Black Staz-on ink, make sure you stamp it towards the bottom of layering card.
  • Cut out hearts with Real Red using embosslit folder. You can put hearts through any embossing folder. Set aside.
  • Ink up Staz-on pad (needs to be juicy) and stamp image on scrap Whisper White paper and sprinkle clear embossing powder over the image quickly and heat set.
  • Cut this out with scissors and don't worry about the little paper gizmo image (it is to hard to cut out) because you have stamped it on the card. After cutting out typewriter that you have embossed, stamp your saying and put dimensionals on the back and layer over already stamped image on card.
  • Take hearts and place them where you desire. The one on the sheet of paper (that is in typewriter) has a dimensional on the back. It is your call on how you want them arranged.
Happy stamping,
Johnnie Sexton
